Tatyana Yurkhova was born in the Ukraine and graduated from the Kishinev Architectural Institute in Kishinev, Moldova. Since then, she has had a diverse career in the art field. She was the Art Director for the Kishinev Circus for 8 years, designing costumes, sets and marketing materials. She has also worked as a freelance artist, book illustrator, and theater set and costume designer, as well as a teacher at the City School of the Arts in Kishinev. After immigrating to the United States, Tatyana continued freelancing for various publishing companies – among them Crayola Kids and American Park Network – and design firms in San Francisco and New York, including Edward Fields Custom Rugs&Carpets and Sloan-Myusato Interior Design. Tatyana currently teaches art to children at Pacific Academy Private School in San Francisco, and to adults at the Concord Senior Center. Tatyana also teaches private art lessons in her home studio in Walnut Creek.
